started...Below we have attached a list of items that
you should have to get started and a description of
         how each is used...
New Vises

Vise

A vise will hold the wide range of hooks securly so that you can tie your fly without it falling all over the place.  We carry your basic spring loaded  vise, Tiemco Vises, Griffins Vises and Marc Petijean Vises...You need to choose a vise that
you are comfortable tying on and a vise that does not have accessories that will get in the way of creating your masterpiece...
Bobbins

Bobbin

This is very essential in tying flies.  The purpose of the bobbin is to hold your thread spool, to release thread as you need it and to keep constant tention on the thread.  We carry a range of cheaper bobbins and then we carry Tiemco bobbins...Some bobbins have a stainless tip and the better bobbins have a ceramic tip...

 Hackle Pliers

Hackle Pliers are pinchers used to hold onto material while you wrap it around the hook.  They are especially useful for "short" ends that are difficult to hold onto with fingers.  Most have a loop that your finger fits into, which helps you turn them.  When pliers can be of help, use them and make sure to check out the many styles...

 Scissors

You should have a fine tipped scissor, thin blade, and finger holes large enough for your fingers so that you can carry them on your fingers without ever putting them down...The last thing you want to do is have to search for your scissors while trying to hold something in place to be trimmed...At first it may seem uncomfortable to keep them on your fingers, but after a bit of practice you will not even know they are there...
